Demasiado Apple

Si estás pensando en comprar un Mac Mini, seguramente no quieras gastar 2000€ en él (se supone que su precio es la base de este producto), así que olvídate de un Apple Cinema Display.

Si quieres un buen monitor, ¿por qué no una TV LCD con entrada VGA? Hay unas cuantas en el mercado. Si no tiene la entrada VGA, tienes un cable en la Apple Store para conectar el Mac Mini a un televisor.

Por ejemplo esta Sony KLV-20 SR3 20" por 769€ en Redcoon

Y lo mejor de todo es que también es un televisor.

If you are looking for a Mini, I'm sure you will not want to spend 2000 € on it (price is the base of the product), so forget about Apple Cinema Display.

If you want a nice screen, why not try a LCD TV with direct VGA input? There are some in the market. If not, you got a cable in the Apple Store to connect the mini to a TV.

Acaba de llegar a mi buzón de correo (el de metal, no el electrónico) una factura de Apple de un iPod que compré, y me ha sorprendido una cosa que puede parecer estúpida: está impresa con una impresora matricial.

It just came to my mailbox (the box, not the electronic one) an Apple invoice of an iPod I bought, and shocked me a maybe stupid thing: it's printed with a matrix printer.

A 99 dólares por solamente 512Mb es un timo. A 99 euros entra directamente en el disparate. Pero el nuevo juguete de Apple seguramente se venderá como no se merece.

La pregunta paranoica

Creo que estoy un poco paranoico, la razón: compre un iPod para un amigo en la Apple Store española, y he estado siguiendo el envío, estaba grabándose en Shangai hace dos días, hace una hora llegó a Arnhem, espero que el lunes esté en Badajoz, en el suroeste de España, y la semana siguiente irá a Madrid.

Ahora tengo dos preguntas:

Tantos cambios de condiciones meteorológicas pueden dañarlo?

¿Estoy totalmente paranoico o es una pregunta normal?

The paranoid question

I think I am a bit paranoid for the next reason: I bought an iPod for a friend through the Spanish Apple Store, and have been tracking it, was in Shangai two days ago, being laser-personalised, an hour ago it arrived to Arnhem and hope on Monday will be in Badajoz, in the South of Spain, going to Madrid next week.

Now I got two questions:

That multiple changes of weather conditions could harm it?

Am I paranoid or is a normal question?

Things to know about Mac Mini

MacWorld in its Spanish edition, tells us some things to know about Mac Mini:

• You can buy it with a DVD burner.
• It is not easily upgradable by user.
• 256mb of RAM is a scarce amount.
• You can take it anywhere you got a keyboard and a monitor.
• You can plug it to a TV with an adapter.
• Has not audio input.
• Two USB ports and a FireWire is not much.

• Puedes comprarlo con grabadora de DVD.
• No es fácilmente ampliable por el usuario.
• 256 mb de RAM es una memoria muy escasa.
• Puede servirte para llevarlo de un lado a otro.
• Puedes conectarlo a un televisor con un adaptador.
• No tiene entrada de sonido.

Well, this was going to be a note for BegforMercy, but I'll put it on my blog, let's say this is my concept of a weblog:

Well, the main difference is that a blog (or weblog) is like a personal (or not) diary that you write and share with everybody, who can add comments (if you activate them like I have done) to what you think and write on it, an example is my blog at http://juanmesa.spymac.net/blog , most about tech, but you can see some here in Spymac (down at right, recent blogs) that express personal thinkings.

The main difference with the forums is that is not a conversation, but an article you write and other people read and express an opinion about it, other examples:
