Nordic authorities: "Don't you use Internet Explorer"

(29/11/2004 08:17):Sweden and Finland authorities advice people not using the world's most popular browser: Internet Explorer.

Frequently, security experts warn against security problems on Microsoft's browser. Added to a bad security is the fact that the product, against market rules, has not been upgraded to a new version for years.

But this is the first time that authorities of a country officially advice against the use of the browser, with a market share around 90%.

"We advice people to change to another browser, but remembering that all browsers have security problems", said Lars Hedensjo, official of the Communications Secretary of Sweden.
